ABOUT ME 

Costa Rican Artist based in Massachusetts United States.

Malorie Grillo (also known as Malory Rojas) is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and Costa Rican writer. Born and raised in the south of San Jose, Costa Rica, she spent her early teenage years as a dancer. At the age of eighteen, she discovered her passion for theater and decided to enroll in the University of Costa Rica to study  her bachelors degree in Theatrical Arts, her main goal was  to develop her skills as a playwright but discovered her sensitivity for design, acting and directing. She has over 10 years of experience as an actress and costume designer. In 2019, she made her directorial debut with her play "Naufragos O...".

In 2020, she won the award for "Best Short Playwright" at the Melico Salazar Theater in Costa Rica with her play "MALDITA GOLONDRINA". Since 2021, she has been in Massachusetts, where she completed her MFA in Costume Design for Theater at the University of Massachusetts.

With a sensitivity to color combinations and textures, her work is characterized by being dynamic and vibrant, aiming to spark curiosity in the viewer, whether in theater, film, or artistic installations.
