Malory Grillo is a Costa Rican playwright whose work explores themes of memory, identity, migration, and the voices of overlooked communities. Writing from the perspective of a woman shaped by the cultural transition of the new millennium, her plays blend poetic language, visual storytelling, and physical theater to create emotionally immersive experiences. Her dramaturgical practice is deeply rooted in representing narratives that challenge social silence while examining the relationship between the body, space, and collective memory. Through her interdisciplinary background in theater, performance, and design, Grillo creates theatrical worlds that are both visually compelling and socially resonant.
